This was our first Afternoon Of Jubilee at Chemult. We are blessed at how Chaplain Doug and the local church, Chemult Christian Center, put this great outreach together to the glory of God.
The red building is where we hold our weekly Sunday morning services.

A beautiful setting to present the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ
in both spoken word and song.

These pictures are of some who gave out the Gospel cookie packages on Christmas Day and one driver who received a package. The lower picture is of Merwin and Debbie Rhoades, (founders of Steering Wheel Ministries) and their 9 year old grandson, Caleb. Somehow Caleb got into most of the pictures. Maybe the pictures were taken by grandpa, ya think?

This picture did not turn out good, but it is a picture of some of the 20 people who helped package the cookies.
We were blessed to have 20 helpers from two or three churches help us put 533 Gospel cookie packages together, all homemade cookies, in under two hours. This work was done at 1st Baptist Church in Roseburg, OR. We give a great big thank you to Pastor Randy Webb and the others who helped.
Each December we put together homemade cookie packages that we give out on Christmas Day. Yes, Steering Wheel Ministries has been in the truck stops on Christmas Day every year since 1995. We put 8 to 10 homemade cookies in each package along with a Gospel booklet or tract, and a note from Steering Wheel Ministries.
With the help of 12 area churches and KGRV AM 700, on Christmas Day 2007 Steering Wheel Ministries gave away all 533 Gospel cookie packages between Rice Hill Pilot at I-5 Exit 148 and Love's at I-5 Exit 119. We had teams of volunteers taking two hour shifts starting at 8:00 Christmas morning until 8:00 that evening. Actually, we gave out the last package just after 6:00 at Love's and just after 7:00 at Rice Hill.
Now for the BIG PRAISE REPORT!!! Before our teams left Rice Hill Christmas night, one truck driver gave his life to Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord!!! PRAISE THE LORD that is what the day is all about!!! There may have been more, as they read the tract we put in this year, "What Money Can't Buy, the Woody Clark story" Woody is the owner of Woodpecker Truck.
I am pleased and blessed to be able to announce that another 108 Gospel cookie packages were given out at Pilot truck stop in Chemult, OR on Hwy. 97. One driver, who received a cookie package from Chemult called our office on Christmas Day to say "thank you" and express how much it meant to him.
