Trucker's Days Of Jubilee
at Pollard Flat, California - north of Redding, CA
May 19-23, 2010
Revised report 5/25/10

Set up and ready to go.

Chaplain John McCann led us in Praise and Worship every service, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night and Sunday morning.

On Thursday the staff took a little time out for a picnic to relax a little and get refreshed.

Russ Goodwin, known as "The Singing Trucker" was with us from Southern California. Russ had a part in Merwin Johnson-Rhoades, (President and founder of Steering Wheel Ministries) getting saved when he sang in the service Merwin was saved in back in March 1985.

Driver's started coming on Saturday for the Trucker's Appreciation Day before we had the food completely ready.

Russ Goodwin, The Singing Trucker sang during Trucker's Appreciation Day. For the song, "This Little Light Of Mine" he got one of the children up there to sing with him.

The weather was good on Saturday in spite of what the weatherman had forecast and the drivers came.
The forecast was for rain and snow on Saturday and once again God showed everyone that man does not know as much as he thinks he knows because God changed the weather. We watched storm fronts coming right at Pollard Flat and they would go around us. Merwin got a sunburn because he forgot to put sunscreen on. The temperature was the coolest we may have ever had but the turnout was close to the same as last year and the number of drivers for the evening fire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows and make somores was at least 3 to 4 times as many as we have ever had. PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!

As we do every year, we ended with roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and making s'mores. There was at least 3 to 4 times as many drivers for this evening event as we have ever had.
We were able to pray with some drivers and talked to several for an extended time. One driver said about Saturday's activities, "It doesn't get any better than this". In reference to the temperature, some said they would rather it be cooler like this than 105 or more like it was the last two years.
Trucker's Days Of Jubilee always ends with the Sunday morning Worship Service.
We take this opportunity to express our great appreciation to the Harsh family, owners of Pollard Flat USA, for their hospitality again this year.
It is always a lot more work than anyone can imagine to put on this outreach but even one soul who comes to Christ for salvation is worth it all.
