~ VISION ~
1. To have 18-wheel mobile chapels “floating” to truck stops. Our focus is on both large and small truck stops because there are truck drivers who prefer smaller truck stops and they need the Gospel of Jesus Christ too.
· To use RV trailers as mini-chapels.
· Have one 18-wheel chapel that will operate on Highway 97 from Klamath Falls, Oregon up into central and eastern Washington and into Idaho. Another 18-wheel chapel to operate on I-5 up into western Washington south into central and southern California.
· To have a mobile stage with a tent canopy, with removable sides, to go to truck stops, and where ever else we can sing and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (“Old time” tent revivals).
2. To have a Trucker’s Christian Center on I-5 complete with a chapel, 24-hour restaurant or deli, showers and laundry would be good. A chaplain will be on the grounds 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
3. To have full time chapels in only a few truck stops – not our main focus.
~ MEETING THE GOALS ~
1. We have the 48-foot trailer we are converting into the mobile stage. The job is still getting done.
2. We need a truck tractor, to pull the 18 wheel mobile chapel. The chapel has been given to us. It has already been converted into a mobile chapel. It is used so is in the process of being repaired.
3. We still need the property for the Trucker’s Christian Center.
4. It takes money above normal ministry operating expense to get these projects into operation.
Please pray about what God may want you to do to help us meet these goals and get this vision God has given Steering Wheel Ministries into reality.
