Dear Friends:
After the Sunday morning service at Rice Hill Pilot on November 15 I was greatly blessed when Paul came up to me and said, "What you said this morning is just what I needed to hear. In fact, we were talking about this very subject on our way here this morning." I love how God does that.

On Thursday, November 19, the owner of a truck dealership here in Oregon called me, knowing the condition our cab-over Freightliner was in, and told me to bring it to him and he would send me home in a 1998 Freightliner Classic and being a conventional instead of a cab-over it is just what I had been praying for. We thank God for blessing us with this beautiful truck to pull “Your Mobile Chapel” with. (That is what the chapel trailer will say on both sides and on the back, "Your Mobile Chapel").

So Monday morning, November 23, I headed out along with Jim Short, the Vice President of Steering Wheel Ministries, with our cab-over and went to Pendleton and left there with the truck you see here. The man who traded this in is a Christian. This truck does not need a paint job so our name is already on the doors.

On the way back Jim and I were treated to dinner in Troutdale by the owner of a trucking company and that man also blessed us by putting 100 gallons of fuel in our tanks—and we did not ask for any of this, God just blessed us. With what was already in the tanks we ended up with almost full tanks. We felt very blessed. For all this we give all of our thanks to Jesus Christ.

I have taken the announcements to churches asking people to bake homemade cookies for Gospel cookie packages we give to the drivers on Christmas Day. That alone makes for a very full week.

If you want to be a part of this great outreach on Christmas Day we will be packaging the homemade cookies on December 23 and we need volunteers to help give the Gospel cookie packages away on Christmas Day at Love's truck stop in Roseburg and at the Rice Hill Pilot. We have two hour time slots starting at 8:00 and going until they are all gone about twelve hours later.

Our welder has been out there in the rain working to get the trailer "buttoned up" so we can move the things over from the trailer we are building first. Your Mobile Chapel is going to be built even in the rain, but we have to get the supplies moved into the other trailer first so we can have room to work. The goal set by the Pastor who is bringing men from his church in Klamath Falls, OR is to have the inside done by Christmas and we are in full agreement—and we know God will make sure it is done.

Thank you for helping us reach so many drivers like Paul for the Lord Jesus Christ. And because of your giving to the Lord when Your Mobile Chapel is on the road many more drivers will be reached for Jesus Christ because we will then be in the truck stops 24/7. (So you can get a tax receipt for 2009 your gift must get to us so we can get it in the bank no later than December 31, 2009.)

In Christ's service,
Merwin Johnson-Rhoades
